This policy covers DealTrail, the software and services offered by Business Advisors of America, a DBA of Michael Ventures II LLC, at dealtrail.com and app.dealtrail.com. It explains what information we collect, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
Who this covers
It covers people who request access, partners who use DealTrail, and the buyers, sellers and other contacts that partners add to it. Partners are responsible for having the right to add the contacts they bring in.
What we collect
When you request access we collect your name, email, mobile number, brokerage, state and anything you write in the form. When you use DealTrail we keep the records you add or that are created for you, including contacts, notes, messages, calls, deal documents, NDAs and offering memorandums. We also keep basic technical information such as your browser, device and the pages you open, which we use to run and secure the service.
How we use it
We use it to provide DealTrail, to contact you about your request and your account, to send messages you ask DealTrail to send, to match buyers with businesses for sale, to run outreach you approve, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information.
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we text you about your request and your account, and with marketing only if you agreed to that separately. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop and HELP for help. Your mobile number and your agreement to receive texts are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We share information with the providers that run DealTrail for us, such as our CRM, email, texting, calling, document signing and hosting providers, only so they can provide those services. We share deal information with the people on the deal, for example a buyer who signed an NDA receives the offering memorandum. We may share information when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
Who sees a partner's contacts
A partner's contacts are visible to that partner and to Business Advisors of America staff who support the account. Other partners do not see them.
How long we keep it
We keep information while your account is open and for as long as we need it for the deals it relates to, our records and the law. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing [email protected] or writing to the address below. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information and the right not to be discriminated against for using those rights.
Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you if a breach affects your information as the law requires.
